Retreats 2023/2024

'Yoga with Sarah are my absolute favorite yoga classes, and a four day yoga retreat is even better. She is such a thoughtful, caring and skillful teacher and makes everyone feel welcome with her unique combination of knowledge and humour. The yoga classes are both restorative and energising and the writing sessions, good food and beautiful surroundings all create such a memorable experience. I cannot recommend this retreat enough.'
Mathilda
Often when we arrive at our yoga class we have raced to get there, possibly stressed by traffic, we settle in as best we can and by the time we’ve settled and practised we get a glimpse of that yoga magic feeling with a sense of peace before we race off back to our busy life.
Think then what is possible on a retreat - a space that lasts for several days away from all the stresses . and distractions of your daily life.
When we step away from all that is familiar and routine we give ourselves an opportunity to view our life from a wider perspective. Through the practices of yoga, breath work and meditation we become more grounded and connected which, coupled with being away from our familiar distractions, can help us bring about shifts in our consciousness and perspective.
The accommodation

Set in the Marshwood Vale and beautiful rolling hills of west Dorset just two miles from the sea Bonhays Retreat centre is a sweet sanctuary of calm and tranquility amidst the beautiful surroundings of the Jurassic Coast - the only natural World Heritage site in England. The simply furnished accommodation has several communal spaces with large sofas and a wood burning stove to keep you cosy with teas, snacks and fruit available in the kitchen areas throughout your stay. There is also an indoor swimming pool to luxuriate in 24 hours a day so don't forget to pack your costume
The food

We take food seriously on our retreats. After our first yoga practice there is a nourishing help yourself breakfast buffet. Evie, the resident chef, will be catering especially for our wholesome lunches and dinners sourcing locally organic ingredients where possible (if she hasn’t grown them herself).
"Hearty, wholesome and healthy vegan/veggie meals were freshly prepared daily by the onsite chef and there was an abundance of fruit, snacks and drinks to keep you going in between meals. All the ingredients were organic/locally sourced/in season and you could taste the goodness in each plate. A favourite for me was the cinnamon poached pears"

All food and drink is vegetarian or vegan and please do let us know if you have additional dietary requirements.

£545 (based on sharing a twin room) Price for a couple in one room £840
or £595 single occupancy for THREE NIGHTS AWAY
Come and join me on this retreat for three magical nights away either side of the new moon - a time for reflection and introspection. Carve out some time for you to step off the hamster wheel of your busy life as we look at what we’d like to release to move forward. A new moon is a powerful time to plant seeds and in our yoga practices we plant seeds of intention -or sankalpa in the language of yoga. We spend so much time on rushing around focusing on what we don’t that when pushed it’s often hard for us to detail what we do want to bring in - our wildest dreams. This nourishing time out amidst the beautiful surroundings of the Jurassic Coast - the only natural World Heritage site in England is an opportunity to reconnect to your authentic self as you pause and look at your life from a fresh perspective.
We will nourish our bodies and minds with yoga, meditation and truly yummy food.
By the end of the retreat you’ll be relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to dive into the next chapter of your life with the clarity and steps you need to take to get there.
